For me, One thing the $1.00 base bets do is allow me to put some extra bets in action. I'm on a limited budget and usually will bet anywhere from $4.00- $6.00 a game when I go watch the simulcasts. If I had to bet $2.00 per bet, I would have less numbers working for me at any one time. I will from time to time make $2.00 or even $3.00 base bets if I like one particular number.
