Believe it or not, I had family friends try to talk me into going for years! I didn't want to try to get in, because I was underage. I watched it for the first time on Labor Day weekend in 1987 @ Milford. Got hooked in Milford during Thanksgiving Weekend 1987 when I hit an Abeberry/Bolivar quinella. Completely fell in love with jai-alai in Feb. 1988 in Hartford (I went to college in that city)and never looked back, especially after starting to play amateur jai alai in Dec. 1988.
