No. In his heyday he was much quicker and did not have to resort to flashy gimmicks. By the time he came to Hartford he was a pale shadow of what he once was, so he developed a lot of flashy stuff to wow the crowd. But flash doesn't win points. It is like a tennis player hitting that way. ZGreat fun to watch, but not much else.
