For the 1st perhaps 10 years, I went to jai alai often and hardly
yelled, except "Come on (player)!)"...as in I wanted
that player to win the point or game. Then when the strike hit,
and the new breed of players came in, that's when it changed,
and my comments were bad...never cussing, racial...no way, but
I'd yell a lot at the players for trying such dumb things or missing
basic shots...perhaps because I'd never really seen much of that
beforehand. I continued like this for probably for a few more
years. Now my comments are so much less, and usually, in my opinion,
correct, like when so and so goes for broke and loses or when
so and so constantly tips serves, etc. The bad plays, yes I will
comment on sometimes. Likewise, I love to holler out "great
catch, so and so!!" I did notice fans at Orlando are dramatically
much more boisterous, in a fun way, then Ocala fans...so quiet
there! (Except Wednesday nights...ha ha!)
