It's no different than any other law of probability situation
like, say, playing Hold 'Em poker and suffering through a prolonged
losing streak when you never, ever, it seems, catch a winning
card on the river. It will change, and the numbers will come in
,as the cards will ultimately hit, just no telling exactly when.
