you adapting to 6-post betting?

From a wagering pool point of view, my adaptation has been to
lay off betting on most of these games, but only as the performance
goes on. Early on, on Saturday nights, there is often around $500
wagered...not bad. But, good payoffs are tough to snag. You get
the better payoffs when there are less people.
Sure your team or teams come up at bat much faster, but the payoffs are that much more diluted, too.
It's clear, by the pools what games the fans like. Hands down, games 6, 9 and 14 have the best tri pools. Game 6 is 8 player singles to 9 points. So is game 14. And game 9 is 8 doubles teams (the only one we get with all 8 teams), played to 9 points. The 6 team games are fun and all, but not very appealing from a pay-off perspective. I know some said they would just play 5 dollar quinielas...well...that's fine, but all it does it kill your own payoff.
What's been more interesting are the quiniela payoffs on some of the 8 player singles games. Some really nice ones have resulted.
