Who could possibly FORGET their first game? Ours was in BRIDGEPORT on a Saturday night in July in 1976. It was all a mystery and took us about two games to figure out the scoring system. We sat in the balcony and promised that the next time we'd sit at the little white tables downstairs in front of the court. Sometimes after a matinee, we'd drive up the Connecticut Turnpike while they were building Milford and check on their progress. I remember winning our first trifecta on a ticket that was punched wrong! We wanted a 6-2-5 and the guy punched out an 8-2-5. I remember that the team was Castro and Calzacorta and it paid $686.00 on a $3 ticket. Some things you never forget!!
